Born in Zimbabwe and now living in England, Kerry has also spent many years in South Africa, where time in nature reserves and the beauty of Cape Town left a lasting mark on her heart.
Deeply inspired by her love of family, animals, and the natural world, she creates stories that celebrate imagination, kindness, and the magic of childhood.
For Kerry, family is everything. It sits at the centre of her life and inspires the warmth, love, and tenderness woven through her writing. She loves poetry, photography, and writing heartfelt children’s books, especially poetic bedtime stories designed to be read aloud and filled with humour, wonder, and comfort.
Kerry has always been drawn to the small, vulnerable creatures others might overlook, and in her stories, she hopes to encourage children to care for animals and to see the world around them with gentleness, curiosity, and compassion.
Through her books at Happy Hollow Press, Kerry hopes to bring a little more kindness and joy into the world, to bring families together, and to create treasured parts of childhood through laughter, imagination, and the quiet magic of story time. Most of all, she hopes the books she loves creating will one day be cherished by her own grandchildren too.
